Neutral is one of the five elements a dinosaur can have. Neutral is quirky because it has no strengths or weaknesses- attacking or defending, damage calculations involving one or more neutral dinosaur will not factor in type. On the other hand, neutral dinosaurs can have attacks imbued with any element, since they are not restricted to just one.

List of Neutral Moves[]
There are a total of 58 neutral moves in the game. Because of the neutral state of these moves, dinosaurs of any element can use any of these, though some moves can only be used by certain families of dinosaurs or other creatures due to having the traits necessary to execute the move (for example, biting attacks are exclusive to theropods, dances and poison-based moves are exclusive to ornithopods, Fly and Dive Bomb are exclusive to pterosaurs, etc.). Other moves can only be unlocked by allies, like Boomerang, Joint Attack, Spike Swarm, Home Run!, Splitter, and Spin Claw.

Trivia[]
- Albertosaurus is the only neutral dinosaur that cannot be tamed (not counting the Staurikosaurus encountered in the modern day).
- Not counting allies (Staurikosaurus and Seismosaurus), and also not counting its modern-day appearance, Albertosaurus is also the only neutral dinosaur to never be involved in a boss battle.
- Albertosaurus is also the only neutral dinosaur to start out as a generic enemy as opposed to being an automatic ally or boss.
- By contrast, Triceratops starts out as a boss (which can be refought any time after the Late Cretaceous is completed), but after the first battle with it, Triceratops can also be encountered as generic enemies on the map (with the generic ones being indistinguishable from the boss form in terms of power and health).
- Staurikosaurus and Giganotosaurus are the only neutral dinosaurs with one element (Staurikosaurus can do two wind-based attacks, Wind Teeth and Tornado Breath, while Giganotosaurus can do one fire-based attack, Ultra Flames).
- By contrast, most of the neutral dinosaurs have at least two elements. Two of them, Albertosaurus (Stone Breath, Flame Breath, Freezing Breath) and Yangchuanosaurus (as an ally, it can do Stone Breath, Ultra Flames, and Freezing Breath) can attack with three elements, only lacking a wind attack.
- Of the seven neutral dinosaurs, only Staurikosaurus and Megalosaurus can use wind attacks (both can perform Wind Teeth, and doing it 25 times for Staurikosaurus will unlock Tornado Breath for it).
- By contrast, all of the neutral dinosaurs except Staurikosaurus can use fire-based attack. Megalosaurus has Flaming Fangs, Seismosaurus has Tail of Fire, Megalosaurus, Triceratops, and Albertosaurus can use Flame Breath, and Megalosaurus, Giganotosaurus, and Yangchuanosaurus can use Ultra Flames.
- Even less have the ability to use Earth-based attacks. Triceratops, Albertosaurus, and Yangchuanosaurus can perform Stone Breath, and Seismosaurus and Triceratops can do Quake Attack.
- Albertosaurus and Yangchuanosaurus are the only neutral dinosaurs with a water-based move, since both can do Freezing Breath.
