Earth is one of the five elements a dinosaur can have. It is strong against Air and weak to Fire, taking neutral damage from itself, Water, and of course Neutral.

Trivia[]

  • Despite being an Earth-based move, Sand Strike is a move that can be done by the wind dinosaur Archaeopteryx and the fire dinosaurs Tarbosaurus and Saurornithoides.
    • This, however, makes sense in that Archaeopteryx and Tarbosaurus are encountered in the Late Jurassic desert (with Tarbosaurus having been brought over from the Late Cretaceous), while Saurornithoides is encountered in a place of volcanic ash (Middle Cretaceous), and having Earth-based powers isn't necessary for simply flicking dirt at the enemy.
  • On the other hand, despite being an Earth dinosaur, Saichania is one of the two dinosaurs that is able to use the 35 SP fire move Big Bang Tackle, the other one being its water element relative, Ankylosaurus.
  • The move Boulder Attack is labeled as melee despite being ranged.
    • This may be due to it involving a more solid projectile as opposed to being an energy attack or massive wave, allowing it to bypass Breath Barrier, but not Harden.
    • The same points hold true for their water-based equivalents (Water Cannonballs and Water Strike), and the neutral, 35 SP move Spike Swarm (which is exclusive to the fire-based Kentrosaurus).
  • Earth appears to be the only element without a powerful 35 SP move.
    • This is in sharp contrast with the water element, which has two powerful 35 SP moves (the melee Danger Dive and the ranged Tidal Wave).
    • However, Pachycephalosaurus and Saichania (who does have a proper 35 SP move, the fire-based Big Bang Tackle) are able to boast a similarly devastating Earth-based substitute, by first performing Power Store then unleashing Quake Attack afterwards.
